A-Basin passes

Postby rondo320 » Sat Apr 08, 2017 6:38 pm

It used to be that if you bought A-Basin's next year's season pass in the Spring, it would be good for the remaining part of this season and all of next season.
Obviously no good deal lasts forever and this deal is gone.
If you don't have an Epic pass or a current A-Basin pass, there is some good news.
The Double Down A-Basin season pass that was $539 for most of the season is now $369. So for $50 more than the cost of next year's pass alone, you get to ski the rest of this season and all of next season.
A-Basin also has a Spring pass but that is $219 for only the rest of the current season.
The Basin usually stays open into early June and with the current snowpack that seems likely this year.
See you on Ramrod!

Bought the A-Basin Double Down pass on Monday and skied Monday and Tuesday.
Pretty decent bumps on Ramrod.
This time of the year is a problem for bumps. Due to freeze/thaw, the right combination of sun and warm temperatures has to exist for the bumps to be good.
The Basin got 9 inches of snow over the last three days and will start to warm up today. Tomorrow and Monday will probably have the right combo for some decent bump skiing. After Monday it looks like we go back into cold and wet weather for a long stretch of dust on crust.
One other concern is that this is the last weekend for Breckenridge and Vail and usually the Monday after they close, A-Basin is packed with Epic pass holders and Vail resorts employees. The crowd tapers off during the week and by the next Monday things are back to normal.
I'll be up there late tomorrow afternoon and also Monday if the parking lots aren't full.
