spring skiing at Copper

Postby rondo320 » Thu Apr 17, 2014 10:39 am

The sun is out, it's warm. The bumps especially on Little Burn are ideal. Softens up around 11 but doesn't get too slushy. Over 100 inches of base and nobody is here.
I guess it's better to ski in November with 3,000 other people on one rock hard, icy run.
Copper closes Sunday but reopens next weekend, Friday thru Sunday, to end the Season.
Loveland stays open until early May and A-Basin will be open till at least early June.

Copper reopened today for the weekend.
Flyer, Sierra, Timberline and the Celebrity Ridge poma are open.
Since the Super Bee, Excellerator and Eagle lifts are closed, all terrain east of the Flyer is closed. Less than 500 acres or about 20% of Copper is open.
Little Burn had some good bumps and lines and I-Dropper was acceptable with more slush than LB.
No crowd and no liftlines today. Could be different on Saturday and Sunday. We'll see.
