Since Jeff and Brian left the Jane, the snow hasn't quit. Almost 100" on top has fallen. The moguls are gone. The pass is gone (unrecognizable at least in the recent past). Some runs are not steep enough to handle the snow. Several choker days have dotted the last 2 weeks of skiing. So,I probably won't be contributing to the formation of moguls, mu ha haha.

This last storm has a ton of water content which means every run will be packed in pretty good. This snow will carve deep if we get a break.

Bring your fat skis if this storm pattern stays. Whoever is interested in zero creek runs with me is welcome to join, it is out of the south gate at the Jane. You don't need a transceiver for it. This year, the turns have been waist deep. EPIC!!! each run takes 3 hours and if we leave a vehicle on the pass we can get 3 runs in. This is the best big mountain skiing available without having to work for it anywhere in the US. Helmets, deep snow ability, and knowing how to fall is important if you want to go. The tree wells are deep this year.

Rock on everyone!

here is the 2013 edit....or non edit...actually...but it gets you ready ...look at how sweet these lines are compared to the chop from last weekends video.

https://vimeo.com/61781469

But I will make a more focused effort of keeping still and watching people straight on so there is more video of everyone, I also just added another wireless line so I can have the camera capabilities of the samsung S4 zoom...I think it is called, looks like a thin camera but it is a smart phone should be here next week, but thought I would grab it for the jane so i can be carrying a hd camera since iPhone video sucks.

Time for some pre-game stoke! These are from Thursday on Gandy Dancer:

Before first run, ~11AM (Super Gauge was on windhold, and Ironhorse was closed.......... so no one seemed to realize that it's not that hard to traverse over here!):

Here's Gandy after the first run:

Incredible... pow shots over the head on every run, and hardly saw a soul.

I went back for a few quick afternoon runs yesterday on the way home from Denver. Well skied in now, but still rippin.

This is stupid, first off it didn't hide anything. Secondly, these uniforms were boring as they could be. Lastly, how could white be performace enhancing, if anything I think you miss out oin the most dynamic moves and angles with the white against white snow.

and lastly, lastly...columbia sucks bolas, what a boring sponsor. Pretty much all the mogul gear was lame.

The US snowboarding team had awesome gear in '10 and '14, I have been trying to buy the jacket but not available yet. If I were the mogul team, I would go with Burton gear until a ski clothing company finally stepped into 2014. You could hardly tell the canadians from the russians from the americans from the french. All red and white or red, white, and blue, boring cut.

If I were at the meeting where they presented the gear I would have laughed at them, told them to go back to the drawing board, until they came up with something that didn't look like it could be purchased in the Walmart sidewalk sale. Snowy camo...wtf...save that shit for the curling team..they appartenly like to dress like douchbags.

Hey guys,

Was wondering if we can hook up with you guys up at BPZA this year. Looks like my buddy and I will be there from Fri-Sun. Probably don't remember us but we skied a few runs with you all in 2012 BPZA. Looking forward to actually seeing snow. California has been dry until this week.
